本科嘗試從歷史和人類學的角度，考察在香港的市區和鄉村地方慶祝的傳統中國節日，從而理解在急劇都市化和近代化的過程中，作為非物資文化遺產的節日如何被保護、改變和重新詮釋。

1. 讓學生全面認識在香港不同社會因素下，中國非物質文化遺產的適應與轉變。
2. 透過參與觀察，收集與分析第一手資料，期望學生能掌握歷史人類學的方法與理論。訓練學生以歷史的視角

Assignments without the properly signed declaration will not be graded by teachers.

The submission of a piece of work, or a part of a piece of work, for more than one purpose (e.g. to satisfy the requirements in two different courses) without declaration to this effect shall be regarded as having committed undeclared multiple submissions.
