本课程旨在让学员认识二十世纪以来历史学科的建立与发展及其所面对的挑战。课程内容包括了史学典范的建立与转移、史学书写方式与风格的变化、史学理论的多元趋向,以及科际整合的影响等课题,学员可以从而把握近现代历史学发展的脉络,并反思历史学科在当今社会中的功能与意义。本课程并有专题介绍二十世纪中外学界对於中国史研究的发展,学员可藉此进一步思考二十一世纪中国史学研究的动向。

第十三讲 史学反思
学员根据本课程开列的阅读报告书单,选取一本书(或多於一本进行比较),配合课程内容的相关课题,撰成一篇约4000字的书评报告。
(每名学员均需准时出席导修,以小组形式进行一次专责报告,并缴交一份1500-2000字的书面报告。各小组并需要进行一次专责评论,其馀堂次可在旁听时参与讨论。)
