Academic Activities

Recapping the “Academic Advisory Meeting and Writing Workshop” and “Graduation Thesis Meeting and Workshop” on 12 September 2025

To help undergraduate students efficiently and effectively acquire academic writing skills, the Department organized two meetings and writing workshops on 12 September 2025.

At the Academic Advisory Meeting, Prof. CHEUNG Sui Wai, Chairman, met with Year 1 undergraduate students to share information on university study and offer advice on how to adapt to the university learning mode. Following that, Prof. TSE Wai Kit Wicky and Prof. James MORTON conducted the Writing Workshop, providing guidance and skills for producing written content in Chinese and English for academic purposes.

During the Graduation Thesis Meeting and Workshop, Prof. CHEUNG Sui Wai and Miss Emily CHEUNG introduced the requirements and structure of the graduate thesis. Prof. Ian MORLEY shared skills and effective strategies for writing a strong academic thesis.
