HIST1000A History for Today

教學目標：

為何說歷史學既是科學，也是藝術，也是技藝？如何研究歷史？如何寫歷史學論文？本課程解答這些問題，並根據具體史料，寫作學術論文，讓同學們掌握歷史研究的技藝。

教學成果：

*     加強對於政治史、經濟史、社會文化史、法制史、歷史人類學、全球史等各種歷史學流派及研究方法的知識。

*     對於史料之建構產生批判意識及解構能力。

*     強化中國古文能力，了解中國歷史，思考中國。

*     強化表達能力。

*     學習充權(empowering learning)，增强自信。

*     改善學術論文寫作能力。

*     增加自己對於人文學術的認識。

*     題目：一九二四年廣州商團事變之研究：以《廣東扣械潮》為中心

*     字數要求：不得少於五千字，注釋計算在內，參考書目不計算在內，須符合學術論文之基本格式。字數不達標，必然扣分，但不意味著字數越多分數必然越高。

*     遞交方式：不必遞交列印本，將WORD檔(而非pdf檔)上載維誠系統，將維誠證書電郵予課程導師。

*     遞交日期：2024年12月1日23時59分59秒前(即最後一課後三天)，每逾期一天，論文成績減20分，如是類推。

*     本課程嚴格執行學術誠信制度，一經查出論文剽竊，除本課程成績零分之外，還將交由文學院展開紀律聆訊，並有可能在成績表內留下紀錄。

*     本課程導修組分為ABC三組，每組最好以30人為限。

Assignments without the properly signed declaration will not be graded by teachers.

Only the final version of the assignment should be submitted via VeriGuide.

The submission of a piece of work, or a part of a piece of work, for more than one purpose (e.g. to satisfy the requirements in two different courses) without declaration to this effect shall be regarded as having committed undeclared multiple submissions. It is common and acceptable to reuse a turn of phrase or a sentence or two from one’s own work; but wholesale reuse is problematic. In any case, agreement from the course teacher(s) concerned should be obtained prior to the submission of the piece of work.
