Eugene Cheng Kam Fai graduated from the Department of History in 1985, and continued on to receiving a diploma in Business Studies, and an Executive MBA at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has had fourteen years of experience working in manufacturing, servicing, trading and banking industries, and is currently Senior Personnel Manager for the Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank Ltd. in Hong Kong. Mr. Cheng finds his Degree in History particularly applicable to his work in personnel and administration.  His knowledge of different modes of administration from a historical context is now useful for considering how to restructure company organization. His understanding of the importance of historical background is a valuable management skill that allows him to become more aware of the significance of factors such as culture and environment in corporate decision making.
